Program International Student's Visual Art Contest-cum Exhibition Of Hong Kong - Photography


Sukacita dimaklumkan bahawa Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) akan menganjurkan International Student's Visual Art Contest-cum Exhibition Of Hong Kong - Photography pada Ogos 2013.

Tema: My Place. My People

Sehubungan itu, pelajar-pelajar yang berminat menyertai program tersebut bolehlah menghantar penyertaan kepada pihak penganjur melalui laman sesawang www.hkisac.org sebelum atau pada 31 Mei 2013.

ABOUT THIS CONTEST

Aims & Eligibility

The Contest aims to:
(i) stimulate students' creativity through photographic works,
(ii) foster international art and cultural exchange, and
(iii) enable adults/leaders in various regions/countries to have a better understanding of the younger generation and develop planning to cater for the younger generation's better living.

Entrants

All secondary school students and students of primary 4/ grade 4 or above of primary school are eligible to participate in the Contest.
Entrants are divided into 2 sections as follows :
  • Primary Section
  • Students of primary 4/ grade 4 or above of primary school
  • Secondary Section
  • All secondary school students

Entry Details:
 

1. All students of primary 4 / grade 4 or above of primary schools, and students of secondary schools are elighible to participate in the Contest.
2. All entires should be photographic works for interpreting and reflecting the theme: "My Place.My People".
3. Each participant should not submit more than 3 entries.
4. Each entry should be presented within a SINGLE piece of PHOTOGRAPH.
5. The image of each digital entry should be in a digital file of 1 to 5 megabytes for on-line submission.
6. Each entry should be accompanied with an artist's statement within 80 words for describing how the theme is interpreted and presented.

Entries from outside Hong Kong
Entries from outside Hong Kong should be submitted via the Internet: http://hkisac.org/submission/customPage/submission.php from 16 to 31 May 2013.

Intellectual Property Rights

All entrants, entrants’ parents or guardians, as well as the submitter of the entry should note and agree to the following:

* No entries infringing intellectual property rights will be accepted. In cases when the presenters, co-organisers or any related/affiliated organisations of the Contest are put to any legal actions, demands, claims and costs arising from the entries that are infringing intellectual property rights, the entrants concerned shall accept full liability and indemnify the presenters, co-organisers or any related organisations of the Contest for all loss and damages; and

* The Presenters retain the right to edit, alter, publish, or use any entries in any forms for exhibition and education purposes.

Prizes

★ Hong Kong Grand Prize: 

Up to 12 will be chosen from all the entries. Each will be awarded US$1,000 cash, a trophy and a certificate. In addition, winner(s) from outside Hong Kong will be offered a return flight ticket to Hong Kong and 3-day accommodation in Hong Kong for attending the Prize Presentation Ceremony and interview.

★Honourable Mention:

Up to 50 will be chosen from all the entries.
Each will be awarded a trophy and a certificate.

★Certificate of Merit:

Up to 250 will be chosen from all the entries.
Each will be awarded a certificate.

★Certificate of Appreciation:

Instructors with students being awarded prizes will be presented with a Certificate of Appreciation.

How to Submit


Judging Criteria

All entries complying with the Contest regulations will be judged according to the following criteria: interpretation of the theme: "My Place.My People", creativity, aessthetics and use of techniques and media.

Prize Presentation & Exhibition

Prize Presentation Ceremony
Prize Presentation Ceremony will be held on 17 August 2013 in the Hong Kong Cultural Centre.

Exhibition
All artworks awarded Hong Kong Grand Prize or Honourable Mention will be exhibited from 17 August afternoon to 26 August 2013 in the Hong Kong Cultural Centre.
